The ideal time to visit northern India is from November to March when the climate is dry and less hot. In the mountains, the winter is harsh and the summer is mild.
Central India
It is comparable to that of the savannah in Africa.
In the Great Northern Plains
The weather can be harsh in March.
To the northwest you will find the Thar Desert.
South India
There are humid, tropical and mountainous areas (Kerala or Karnataka). If you go to Tamil Nadu or any part of Andhra Pradesh, you will rather have a dry and hot climate. This area of India is visited by tourist from septembre to march.
